7 Days in Havana (2012)

See Cuba through the eyes of Teddy Atkins (Josh Hutcherson), a U.S. tourist’s first twenty four hours in the country; or experience a well-known director (Alexander Abreu) travelling to Cuba to receive an award; watch Cecilia (Melvis Santa Estevez), a Cuban singer, decide whether to expand her career to Spain or stick around with her boyfriend José (Leonardo Benítez); sit nervously with ES (Elia Suleiman), a Palestinian reporter waiting to interview a prominent Cuban figure; experience an attractive African-Cuban schoolgirl forced to go through a cleansing ritual by her parents; walk in the shows of Mirta (Mirta Ibarra), an over-worked, under-paid woman who must make candies to pay her bills, despite already working two jobs; and watch in awe as Marta (Nathalia Amore) works with her neighbors to prepare a religious ceremony.
