Biography

Andrew Prine was born on Valentine’s Day which explains why Mr. Man wears his heart on his sleeve (and hard-on in his jeans) every time he watches the Florida native sizzle on stage (The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, Long Day’s Journey into Night); on film (Centerfold Girls, Sweet Home Alabama, Weird Science); and on TV (The Bionic Woman, Bonanza, Dallas, Gunsmoke, Six Feet Under, Star Trek: The Next Generation). After playing Helen Keller’s brother in Arthur Penns Oscar-winning biopic The Miracle Worker (1962), Andrew popped up in the sixties Westerns Texas Across the River (1966) and Bandolero! (1968) starring Dean Martin. In the seventies, he appeared alongside John Wayne in Chisum (1970) and Rooster Cogburn (1975). Through the years, Prine performed in the Civil War dramas Gettysburg (1993) and Gods and Generals (2003) as well as the Johnny Knoxville comedies The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) and Daltry Calhoun (2005). Yet for the most part, Prine could be seen in horror flicks, such as Vampire Women (1973), Nightmare Circus (1974), Grizzly (1976), The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976), The Evil (1978), Amityville II: The Possession (1982), Glass Trap (2005), and Lords of Salem (2012). Andrew also thrilled fans in the thrillers  Without Evidence (1995) starring Angelina Jolie and They’re Playing with Fire (1984). The latter features Sybil Danning, Eric Brown, and Prine’s perfect pecs! Yes, at the ten-minute mark, Andrew flashes his hairy chest in bed. We just wish he’d pull down the sheets so we could see the rest of his treasures beneath!
