Any Human Heart (2010)

PBS miniseries Any Human Heart brings to life the 2002 book of the same name by William Boyd. Logan Mountstuart is an author whose extraordinary life begins with hope and vigor and ends with loneliness. In an attempt to show that we become distinctly different people throughout the various stage of our lives, Boyd’s Logan melts into his surroundings. From raucous encounters with Earnest Hemmingway in 1920’s Paris to old age in 1980’s London, Logan is truly a man of the world, as well as a man hard to define. Played by three different actors (Sam Claflin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Jim Broadbent) we are most likely to see a little bit of our ever-evolving selves in this complex character. 

Thankfully Logan also has a way with the ladies, and in Any Human Heart we get ass from The Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin as he gets it in with a chick! As if seeing Finn out of his clothes wasn’t enough, we get some shirtless action from Matthew Macfadyen! More like Any Human Heart-on!
