Ascension (2014)

The 2014 Syfy channel mini-series Ascension builds on the idea that in 1963, at the height of the space race, the U.S. government developed a top-secret interstellar mission that launched a small colony into space to populate Proxima Centauri. Joining the action more than a half century after the launch of the titular craft, everything is running smoothly until a young woman is found murdered, which leads the crew to question their journey while sparking a variety of internal conflicts among the crew. Aboard the craft is William Denninger (Brian Van Holt), the captain of the vessel, his power-hungry wife Viondra (Tricia Helfer), and First Officer Aaron Gault (Brandon P. Bell), who is placed in charge of investigating the murder. This sci-fi soap is full of drama that serves up some shirtless satisfaction, thanks to Al Sapienza, P.J. Boudousqué, Brian Van Holt, and Brandon P. Bell. The men of Ascension will have your hand descending down your pants!
