Based on a true story of a fight for survival that took place in the woods of Ontario, the survival thriller Backcountry (2014) follows Alex (Jeff Roop) and his girlfriend Jenn (Missy Peregyrm) as they go camping in a forest Alex spent tons of time in as a kid. Alex is all jacked up to take his gal pal to the secluded Blackfoot Trail, a favorite family vacation spot from his youth, but Jenn’s not really that kind of chick; she’s a corporate lawyer that’s not too excited about working up a sweat and getting dirty. Since he claims to know the trail like the back of his hand, Alex forgoes a map at the ranger station, and since she's a screen addict, Alex keeps his and her cell phones in the car. Ultimately, these decisions doom the couple as they get lost and find themselves being stalked by a predatory black bear. From there, it's a battle for survival between the pair and the bear. She admits she's sick of him, he admits he was planning on proposing to her, and the bear admits he's a bear and doesn't care. He just wants to eat them. Why is the smart and pretty lawyer shacking up with such a doofus? It'll all make sense, we promise. See, before the bear starts hunting the couple, Roop loses his clothes for a skinny dip, teasing a brief look at his ass in the process. It's tight, toned, and makes us long for the days before the apps, when a gay fella could go for a hike and always find another hottie to hook up with. Sometimes it was a bear, sometimes a cub. But we're getting off track. The bottom line is it's a great bottom! Yes, that’s one nice Backcountry, Jeff! We'd love to wander into the woods with you and deliver a few back shots!
