Backstrom (2015)

The crime drama series Backstrom stars Rainn Wilson as Everett Backstrom, a jaded, cynical, politically incorrect detective with the Portland police department. He smokes cigars, deals in stereotypes, and reeks of rudeness. When he’s not hanging out at crime scenes, he’s shooting the shit at the office with his colleagues: part-time pastor John (Dennis Haysbert), by-the-book rookie detective Nicole (Genevieve Angelson), simple-minded dude Moto (Page Kennedy), and the intellectual Peter (Kristoffer Polaha). At his boat-turned home, Everett rooms with Gregory (Thomas Dekker), an odd dude that helps the caustic cop solve some daunting cases, thanks to his link to the underworld. It’s primetime television, so don’t expect any really nudity. The pilot episode served up some shirtless, boxer-clad action from Rainn Wilson as he slumps around the doctor’s office while getting a check up. We’d love to play doctor with Rainn!
