Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-2021)

The always adorable Andy Samberg takes on cop-movie cliches on the FOX series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. For eight seasons, starting in 2013, Samberg starred as Jake Peralta, an outer borough detective who's spent his career by gliding by on his good looks and considerable charm. Him and his slacker crew of crook chasers have had it pretty easy for years, but that's all about to change, thanks to their no-nonsense new boss Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) taking helm of the precinct. Along with his childhood bestie Gina (Chelsea Peretti), the badass Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), the jacked former fatty Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Jake's uptight girlfriend Amy (Melissa Fumero), and the shy nerd Charles (Joe Lo Truglio), Jake and his team have to step up their games to solve the zaniest crimes Brooklyn has to offer. But while Holt's demeanor is stern and unapologetically disciplined, deep down he's a softie who has taken loads of crap for being one of the first openly gay officers of the NYPD. Eventually he'll be so worn down by Jake's constant Die Hard (1988) references, comically terrible undercover disguises, and unique ability to actually solve crimes, he'll end up treating the man-child and his crew of misfits like family. If you've got a thing for authority figures, there are tons of officers you'll be begging to take their clothes off in this one. Whether you like them big, black and beefy like Terry Crews, who takes his shirt off while LARPing at a sci-fi convention, Andre Braugher, who we get to watch makeout in the rain with Marc Evan Jackson, and Tim Meadows who we see lather up in the shower, or you prefer them a little softer and paler like the Speedo wearing Andy Samberg, the diaper adorned Joe Lo Truglio, or the long shirt-no pants combo wearing Bradley Whitford, there was a little something for everyone in this cop comedy. If only FOX had let them show some of that NYP D! There might not have been nudity, but all the fuzz were fine on Brooklyn Nine-Nine!
