Born in Florence, Tuscany, Italy in 1939, Carlo Cecchi is one of those ruggedly handsome Italian men that your mother always dreamed would take her away from her boring life in the suburbs. Be thankful he never came knocking. Carlo is incredibly selective about the films that he makes, and didn't do any acting between 1972 and 1985. But we've appreciated everything he's done on the big screen since he made his debut way back in the late 60s, with a role in the man finds a gun and uses it for murder drama, The Blind Fly (1966). If we lived in the boot, we'd go blind from unzipping our flies and enjoying Carlo's work! Carlo was consistent in the 60's, appearing in The Wildcat (1968) and His Day of Glory (1969). But while you'd think joining the King of Cool, Steve McQueen in the racing drama Le Mans (1971) would have got Carlo's career going, instead he took a long break from acting before returning in a few TV movies. We don't know about le mans, but Mr. Man sure had his heart racing when he saw Carlo in director Bernardo Bertolucci's film Stealing Beauty (1996)! Carlo plays third fiddle to Jeremy Irons and Liv Tyler in the sexual story of an American woman exploring herself in Italy. You'll be playing your fiddle seeing Carlo do what we imagine most Italian men do, doff his duds with some buds by going skinny dipping at a gorgeous villa. While lying on the grass, Carlo gives us a glimpse of his giggle stick as he lounges on his back. We'd love to do it, with that Italian! Carlo starred in The Red Violin (1998), taking top billing above Samuel L. Jackson, then was Bob Hoskins' second in command as a Cardinal in The Good Pope (2003). Recently, Carlo has only acted four times since 2010, most recently popping up in the Jack London adaptation Martin Eden in 2019. We need Carlo Cecchi to keep it garden of Eden, and give us more shame free nudity!
