Carlos (2010)

The critically acclaimed television miniseries Carlos (2010) follows the many lives of one of the most wanted terrorists of the 20th century, Ilich Ramírez Sánchez (Édgar Ramírez). In lieu of simply chronicling his wrong doings (which include such crimes as elaborate attempted assassinations) the three episode series asks questions about how Ilich could have managed so many pseudonyms and distinct identities, and what could have led him to commit such heinous acts. In addition to a Golden Globe win for best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television, star Édgar Ramírez was nominated for Best Performance.
