Charlie Wilson's War (2007)

Ever since Mike Nichols launched his cinematic career, the director showed a knack for attracting big stars to his flicks: Elizabeth Taylor in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate (1967), Jack Nicholson in Carnal Knowledge (1971), Cher in Silkwood (1983), Meryl Streep in Heartburn (1986), Harrison Ford in Working Girl (1988), John Travolta in Primary Colors (1998), and Hollywood deity Tom Hanks in Charlie Wilson’s War (2007). Thanks to Aaron Sorkin’s screen adaptation of George Crile’s book “Charlie Wilson’s War: The Extraordinary Story of the Largest Covert Operation in History” (2003), this political dramedy tells the true story of Texas Representative Charlie Wilson (Hanks). In addition to carrying out secret deals to aid Afghan rebels, Wilson was a bit of a cad, hooking up with Joanne Herring (Julia Roberts), among others. While making laws and battling the Soviets in a game of Cold War chess in the 1980s, the congressmen spent his nights chasing the ladies and partying naked. In fact, Hanks can be seen living it up in a hot tub at a wild party. When he gets up, we are treated to a view of Tom’s nude booty! Needless to say, you’ll be holding your own political pole as you glance at his hairy chest and bare buns. Even though Charlie Wilson’s War won’t blow you away with the amount of skin it shows, it isn’t everyday that you get to see an A-lister doff his duds. In other words, Hanks will make you yank!
