Crash (2004)

The lives of very different Los Angles residents intertwine over a 36 hour period in Crash (2004).  Issues of race, relationships and social tensions are explored from various perspectives including a racist police officer, a rich white car jacking victim, two African American carjackers and a pair of detectives who are also on-again, off-again lovers. This is no light hearted romp through sunny southern California.

Issues are exposed here more than the skin of any of the talented cast.  The only exposure is delivered by Don Cheadle who plays an LA detective.  In one scene he and his partner both on the job and in the bed are going at it.  Don’s character is very discreet, because a sheet covers his lower half, but we do get a view of his muscled back and shoulders as he gets his swerve on.
