Review

Dances with Wolves (1990) won seven Oscars, including Best Picture in 1991, obviously inspired the plot of Avatar (2009), and turned Kevin Costner into one of the biggest movie stars in the world. But most importantly, it contains what may be the best Kevin Costner nudity out there. Michael Blake adapted his own novel into the screenplay, which Costner both directed and starred in, about a Union Cavalry Officer who comes to love and appreciate the Sioux Indians. Lt. John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) is facing amputation while wounded fighting the Rebs, so he goes on a suicide mission, takes out a ton, and provides such a distraction that the boys in blue are able to win the battle. Awarded for his bravery, he's allowed to pick any assignment he wants, so he decides to head out to the Plains before the frontier is tamed. Finding his fort deserted, Dunbar lives alone and comes to befriend the local Sioux tribe. Eventually deemed "Dances With Wolves" for the wolf he manages to tame, Dunbat comes to hunt buffalo with them, falls in love with one named Stands With a Fist (Mary McDonnell), and even battles alongside them when a rival tribe tries to take over their hunting ground. Of course, just when he's gone full Native the white man comes along and forces him to choose which tribe he really belongs to. Dances with Wolves was a project of passion for Kevin so he gave it his all. We see his naked rear a few times and there is even a very quick (be fast with the pause button) frontal shot. As Kevin is bathing in a creek he unleashes his flesh buffalo onto the plains, and we catch a glimpse of it as he turns around. Later, in that same scene he chases some Natives that are trying to steal his horse. When he stops running the camera pulls back and gives us a full-blown, crystal-clear back shot of Kevin’s tightly wound cheeks. He looks so good you won’t be able to stop yourself from dancing with your family jewels! Kevin Costner took a chance making this movie and had plenty of skin in the game. When it is all on the line, he strips it all off and it makes for a great movie with some seriously Skintastic moments! Dances with Wolves will have you dancing with yourself!
