Deadly Eyes (1982)

Based off of James Herbert’s novel “Rats”, the horror flick Deadly Eyes (1982) follows Paul Harris (Sam Groom), a divorced high school teacher and basketball coach that teams up with Kelly (Sara Botsford), a local health inspector, to uncover the source of the mysterious rat attacks that have plagued their hometown of Toronto. Spoiler alert! It looks like the town’s corn grain is contaminated with steroids, and the rats are getting large on the growth-inducing grain. When Paul and Kelly discover that the rats are dwelling in the subway, they go out of their way to try and prevent a new subway line from being built. It the couple fails, it curtains for Toronto. There are a ton of rats, well, dogs dressed as rats, but there’s little skin. Sam Groom shows off buff and hairy chest in a couple of scenes involving an amorous student. We can’t keep our eyes off of Sam!
