Embrace of the Serpent (2015) is a black and white drama directed by Ciro Guerra that was internationally co-produced in Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina. The film, originally titled El abrazo de la serpiente, won the Art Cinema Award in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. Embrace of the Serpent was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The film follows two scientists searching the Amazon for a healing plant over the course of many years and their relationship with a shaman who helps them. We get some great nudity from Brionne Davis who wakes up in desert with his manly, hair-covered chest on display. I don’t think it’s the desert that’s making us hot. We also get some choice nudity from Nilbio Torres who shows off his impressive bulge throughout the film in a tiny, little leather thong. Let’s just say, we’d like to embrace his serpent!
