I Dreamed of Africa (2000)

After a serious car crash existentially rattles a shallow socialite, she seeks to change her life, which means a permanent from her posh surroundings in Italy. The romantic drama I Dreamed of Africa (2000) stars Kim Basinger as Kuki, the shallow, badly injured divorcee as she accepts a marriage proposal from Paolo Gallmann (Vincent Perez), her most recent boyfriend. The newly engaged couple, along with Basinger’s kid Emanuele (Liam Aiken and Garrett Strommen), head to Africa to live and recoup from her crash-related injuries. However, some emotional problems are still unsolved, many of them stemming from her new husband’s thrill seeking demeanor and his constant absence. Not only do internal problems hound her, but also external ones, like wild animals and poachers that dot the African environment. She needs to decide if she’s capable of changing everything in her life that bothers her, or if she should return back to the calmness of Italy. Before she even thinks of getting out of Africa, we get a view of Vincent Perez’s dreamy butt highlighted by the glow of a lantern. Mr. Man is dreaming more about Vincent than Africa!
