In The Face of Crime (2010)

Drawing favorable comparisons to the uniquely bizarre mystery show Twin Peaks, the ten-part German boob tube series In The Face of Crime revolves around a  ruthless and bloody war between two Russian mafia clans operating in Berlin. The show follows Marek Gorsky (Max Riemelt) and Sven Lottner (Ronald Zehrfeld), a pair of ambitious cops looking to make a name for themselves on the police force. While trying to track down fugitive mobster Sergej Sokolov (Georgeiy Povoloskiy), Marek is attemping to solve the decades old murder of his connected brother. Concurrently, the psychological drama places a spotlight on Jelena (Alina Levshin), a young Russian gal that has been lured with her best friend, Swetlana (Katja Nesytowa), to Berlin, in hopes of landing good jobs and finding love. But Jelena and  Swetlana’s dreams are soon dashed when they’re nabbed and sold into prostitution. It’s up to the determined cops to help save the girls, bring down the warring mafia groups, and restore some sort of sanity back to Berlin. Marko Mandic, Max Riemelt, and Mišel Matičević all cut through the drama of the mini-series by showing off some amazing flesh. In The Face of Crime will have you doing time with yourself!
