Known for, amongst other things, playing swaggering community college hunk Jeff Winger on the NBC cult-favorite sitcom Community, Joel McHale is that perfect combination of both hot and funny. In one member-able moment, his sexiness becomes so overwhelming that his man-crushing principal falls to the floor, convulsing spasmodically and screaming, “His shadow…even his shadow!” We know how he feels. Who knew the man had abs you could count? Before his acting career got started, Joel earned his bachelor's degree in History from the University of Washington, where he partied with the Theta Chi fraternity and played tight end on the football team. Do we need to touch that one? Yes, we’ll touch it. Joel went back to school after graduation to get a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington’s Professional Actors Training Program. It wasn’t long before he was appearing on TV in shows like Almost Live!, Will & Grace, The Fugitive, and Bill Nye, the Science Guy. His big break came in 2004 when he was picked to host The Soup, a weekly talk show that skewered pop culture and those making it popular. He landed Community in 2009, stayed there through 2015, and along the way, also appeared naked in the movie What’s Your Number? (2011), where his body double flashes his ass (we’d like to think Joel’s butt is even better). Proving he only gets better with age, that six-pack makes a return appearance in the movie Happily (2021). One more fun fact? On his IMDb page, it lists one of his alternate names as “Penis McHale.” All hale the hottie.
