L'étoile du jour (2012)

L'etoile du jour (2012) follows a small circus that arrives in a coastal town in the North Sea and feels that the place looks really eerie. The audiences are hard to come by, but the performers do their best to act out their hearts under the big red tent. The ballerina Angele (Natacha Regnier) is having an affair ith Elliot (Denis Lavant), the clown, but she is also seeing the circus director Heroy (Tcheky Karyo). Heroy is a dangerous, angry man who will go to any lengths to get his way and have his ballerina all to himself. This wonderful movie is made even better with the appearance of actor and musician Iggy Pop who plays La Conscience. He is shirtless and being misted - we'd love to mist him, too! He and Denis Lavant dance shirtless together in a little dance party that we would love to join in on. But we're good watching these bad boys get playful, too.
