Mallrats (1995)

Potty mouthed, pot smoking director Kevin Smith’s sophomore effort Mallrats takes the foul-mouthed, over the top comedy from the convenience store to the mall. When T.S. (Jeremy London) and Brodie (Jason Lee) are dumped by the girlfriends Rene (Shannon Doherty) and Brandi (Claire Forlani), they do what ever jilted dude does—they head to the mall! While at the mall, the newly-single dudes meet up with a plethora of weird and outrageous characters like William (Ethan Suplee), a guy who likes to stare at Magic Eye pictures; Gwen (Joey Lauren Adams), one of T.S.’s ex-girlfriends; and Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), two stoner dudes just hanging out. When T.S. and Brodie discover “Truth or Date”, a matchmaking television show is being shot at the mall, they decide to cause chaos and ask Jay and Bob to destroy the show’s stage. While at the mall, they cast of characters attract the attention of the security guard LaFours (Sven-Ole Thorsen), Rene’s new boyfriend Shannon (Ben Afflack), and Brandi’s father, Jared (Michael Rooker). The bombastic and side-splitting film provides a lot of laughs, along with an unexpected but delightful look at Michael Rooker’s ass and balls. Snoochie Boochies!
