Mandingo (1975)

Based on the Kyle Onstott novel of the same name, the soap opera-ish exploitation flick Mandingo (1975) is set on a run-down plantation in the Antebellum Deep South called Falconhurst, that's run by rheumatic slave owner Warren Maxwell (James Mason) and his handsome son, Hammond (Perry King). When father nags his son about settling down and getting married, son takes time from banging the family’s slaves and heads to New Orleans to score a wife—his cousin Blanche (Susan George). A ring on the finger certainly doesn’t slow Hammond down though, and it’s a matter of time before he’s back to humping the slaves, specifically Ellen (Brenda Sykes), who he purchases along with Ganymede (Ken Norton) aka Mandingo. In between bedding Ellen, Hammond takes time to turn his mountain of a slave into a top fist fighter who beats up any challenger other slavemasters bring for a brawl. But Blanche has needs, outside of alcohol, that Hammond is too busy shacking up with Ellen to satisfy, so it's up to Mandingo to deliver every inch of his love. Nine months later, the cheating chick delivers a baby that’s not quite white, and shit hits the fan. Maybe Mandingo fathered your baby! With Falconhurst in chaos and Hammond threatening to kill every black man who might be the baby daddy, it's up to Mandingo to lead a revolt and save all the slaves! Considering he was a Heavyweight Champion boxer who once beat Muhammed Ali and was nicknamed "Black Hercules," it might not shock you to learn that Ken Norton had an incredible body. He shows it off quite often here, including his fine black ass when Blanche strips him down for some loving. Richard Ward's buns aren't quite as hard, but he does provide some spectacular scenes of seat meat when he's stripped and whipped. But it's Perry King who amps up the skintributions by putting on a full frontal show in the bedroom. He flashes dong while stripping down, as Ellen waits for him while naked in bed. You could never make it today, but there's good man-dingus in Mandingo!
