Mobsters (1991)

Set in early-twentieth-century New York, the period crime thriller Mobsters (1991) follows the rapid growth of a flourishing criminal enterprise. Based on the true-life story of mob kingpin Lucky Luciano (Christian Slater), the film stars Patrick Dempsey, Richard Grieco, and Costas Mandylor as Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Siegel, and Frank Costello, partners in an organized-crime venture that nets them millions. Of course, the gangsters become victims of their success, however, when bickering and infighting threatens to topple their empire.
