Norbit (2007)

Funny fellows have a trickster within since they enjoy playing various characters in the same movie. In Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964), Peter Sellers portrays the President of the United States, a British officer and Dr. Strangelove. Mike Myers plays Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Johann van der Smut in Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). And Eddie Murphy takes on the entire Klump family in The Nutty Professor (1998). Obviously, Murphy doesn’t mind spending time in the makeup chair since he agreed to three parts in Norbit (2007). Not only does he portray the titular nice guy, he plays Norbit’s overbearing wife Rasputia. If that’s not enough, the comical chameleon transforms into the Chinese curmudgeon Mr. Wong. Fortunately, Eddie lets the lovely Thandie Newton portray his love interest Kate Thomas. Also in the cast is Cuba Gooding Jr. as Deion Hughes; Katt Williams as Lord Have Mercy; Terry Crews as Big Black Jack Latimore; and Marlon Wayans as Buster “Bust-A-Move” Perkin. The latter dude is Rasputia’s tap dance instructor and secret lover. As such, he’ll have to do some real tap dancing to explain himself when getting caught in the act. As such, Marlon flaunts his ebony chest and bare buns. How cheeky! As much as we love seeing Wayans in the buff, critics hated watching Murphy in this flick. Indeed, he received three separate Razzies! When it comes to taking on roles, doesn’t Eddie know, like clothing, less is more!
