In Postcards from the Edge (1990), Suzanne Vale is a successful actress with a problem; she’s got a serious drug habit. After a stint in rehab, she’s told that in order to keep working on a movie, she has to go live with her mother. That’s cool, except that her mom is a former star who now is an award winning drunk. Throw in some man problems (with the always skinlicious Dennis Quaid) and you’ll get a postcard from the land of screwed up relationships with a side trip to mother-daughter land.
The ladies take center stage, but Quaid can’t miss a chance to drop his pants and show a little skin. He’s great at hoisting a naked hip and he does it again in a brief shower scene. Giving us a little half turn and hip thrust, Quaid is the poster boy for getting the biggest bang for a small buck. Sometimes a taste is all you need.
