Summer School (1987)

Set in California, Summer School (1987) revolves around Freddy Shoop (Mark Harmon), a laid-back, surfer dude turned teacher who gets his summer vacation ruined by a group of high school troublemakers. While Shoop usually teaches gym class, he’s tasked with teaching remedial English to a bunch of loveable losers. There’s pregnant chick Rhonda (Shawnee Smith), stripper by night Larry (Ken Olandt), pretty blonde Pam (Courtney Thorne-Smith), Italian exchange babe Anna-Maria (Fabiana Udenio) and horror film enthusiasts Chain Saw (Dean Cameron) and Dave (Gary Riley). Even though Shoop dreads being in the classroom instead of on the beach, throughout the course of the class he eventually warms up to his students and gets them ready to pass their big exam. While there are a lot of laughs and smile-worthy moments, there’s not much in regards to nudity. Harmon shows off his tight, shirtless body, while Ken Olandt teases his thong-clad body on the stripper stage. These two dudes certainly earned their extra credit!
