The Beguiled (1971)

An injured Yankee soldier played by the devilishly attractive Clint Eastwood finds himself imprisoned, so to speak, in an all-female boarding school in the middle of the Civil War. Naturally, every woman wants to sleep with him, and most do, creating a pervasive and dangerous hostility at the school. Will he be able to escape? Does he want to escape? In he, in fact, in a coma in the woods, merely dreaming of his ultimate fantasy? We'll never tell. 

The Beguiled (1971) is a Civil War drama of its own caliber, speaking more to the sexual frustration of the women back at home during the war than the men out in battle. Clint Eastwood circa 1971 is super sexy (and sometimes shirtless) during this film, so we can certainly understand the contention. Think of it as a 19th century rendition of "The Bachelor."
