The Durrells (2016-2018)

When life hands you lemons, head to a gorgeous island with your four children! At least this is the mentality of English mother Louisa Durrell (Keeley Hawes), who, in The Durrells, decides to change her life completely when everything seems to turn sour. From 1935 to 1939 the Durrell family lived on the Greek island of Corfu, which inspired Gerald Durrell to write some books about his time there. Those books were so interesting they've inspired two TV shows and one TV movie. This six-part miniseries (which came after the first adaptation: 1987's My Family and Other Animals) paints a rich portrait of what life in the 1930’s looked like while living without electricity or other supposed essentials, but with plenty of pluck and love. Louisa Durrell (Keeley Hawes) is super cash strapped following her husband's death, so she packs up the kids and decides to move from Bournemouth to Corfu. The kids aren't all that upset about leaving the UK since their mom's a drunk, Gerry (Milo Parker) is constantly bullied, Larry (Josh O'Connor) hates his job, Leslie (Callum Woodhouse) hates school, and Margo (Daisy Waterstone) admits she's pretty dumb as a person. They rent a rundown house overlooking the water, Gerry meets a dude (Yorgos Karamihos) documenting the birds of the island, Gerry turns the house into a defacto zoo, and the Durrells all come to love their time on the Greek Island even if it gets off to a rough start. We'd love to slip on a Durex and spend some private time in the Greek sun with a few of the Durrell boys. As Leslie Durrell, Callum Woodhouse spends some time sunbathing, ankle deep in the water which lets us see him in some tight, blue skivvies. You could build a house with all the wood that scene gave us! Maximilian Befort is the prototypical slim and sexy dude yachting around the island shirtless, while Josh O'Connor will have his best parts barely hidden by the sheets while lying in bed with a beautiful woman. Ulric von der Esch also does some shirtless yardwork that'll have you dying to hoe it up for him! But as for real nudity, all we get is Trevor White's tush as a character who decides he's going to spend every moment on the island completely nude. Fine by us, dude! Head to Greece and grab a hot piece? Who needs electricity when that's an option? No wonder Mr. Man fell for all The Durrells!
