Based on a true story, The Emerald Forest (1985) follows Bill Markham (Powers Boothe), a US engineer who has uprooted his family and moved to Brazil to complete the construction of a hydroelectric dam deep in the Amazonian jungle. While the dam signifies progress for many, the native tribes of the region face negative repercussions from its construction, mainly due to deforestation and flooding. Shit hits the fan when a tribal group called “The Invisible People” nabs Bill’s son, Tomme (Charley Boorman), leading the desperate father on a ten-year search to reclaim his son. During the search, Bill finds himself being stalked and threatened by another tribe of people called “The Fierce People,” the enemy of the Invisible. After being saved by Tomme, now the chief of his tribe, Bill works to reclaim his son and return to civilization asap. But when the warring tribes renew their hatred for one another, father and son might not make it out alive. As Tomme adopts the tribal way of life, he thankfully shucks his clothes and dons a butt-baring thong that gives us enough ass to get lost in a pervy fantasy.
