The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia (1981)

Dennis Quaid stars as Travis Child, a heavy drinking country musician who has a keen knack for hitting on the wrong women in The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia (1981).  Looking to make it big in Nashville while on tour with his little sister Amanda (Kristy McNichol), Travis gets himself into trouble with the wrong sheriff of a small Georgia town. Amanda is able to borrow some cash in order bail her big bro out of the jail. In exchange Travis must work off his debt at the local bar, where he meets and quickly falls in love with Melody (Sunny Johnson) who happens to have a very jealous ex. Along the way a young Quaid is forced buck-naked from a hotel room. But hey, with a body like that, there ain’t nothin’ this young country stud should be embarrassed about!
