The Rambler (2013)

Dermot Mulroney stars as the titular drifter in The Rambler (2013). We don't know much about "the Rambler," only that he was recently released from prison and he's on his way to his brother's farm. But as they say, the journey is more important than the destination, and in this case the journey is surreal, disjointed, and grotesque, all of which are fancy ways of saying "just plain weird." How weird? Well, first of all, when Dermot finds himself falling into bed with a local floozy, he refuses to take his sunglasses off. "That's not weird, that's kind of sexy," you say. Ok, how about this: she then ties him to the bed, leaves the room, and a gruesome old woman comes in and pukes yellow goo all over his bare chest. Yeah, that weird. But hey, at least we get to see Dermot in his tighty-whities...
