The Returned (2015)

Adapted from the French film and television series Les Revenants, the A&E network’s supernatural drama The Returned is set in an idyllic Washington state town that has been traumatized by a school bus accident that claimed the lives of many children. Four years after the tragedy, some of those children that were presumed dead return, inexplicably. The show focuses on Camille (India Ennenga), a teenage girl that mysteriously returns to her home, a home that her untimely death changed for the worse—her parents (Mark Pellegrino and Tandi Wright) are on the outs, so much so that mom’s now dating her grief-counseling psychologist (Jeremy Sisto). Looks like Camille is just the tip of the iceberg, because other dead kids start making their return, and some mysterious happenings follow. Spooky stuff! You want nudity mixed with your supernatural drama? Too bad. The best you’re going to get is a steamy, shirtless moment from Keenan Tracey while he gets passionate with a lucky lady. Ho-hum.
