Just because Titus Welliver isn’t the kind of actor who is hounded by the paparazzi doesn’t mean he’s not super photogenic. The camera loves the blue-eyed stunner! With more than one hundred credits under his belt, you’ll likely recognize his grizzly voice and handsomely weathered face even if you don’t know the prolific pro by name. This is especially true if you’re a fan of Ben Affleck’s films. As a director, Ben cast Titus in Gone Baby Gone (2007), The Town (2010), Argo (2012), and Live by Night (2016). All we can say is “Move over Matt Damon!” After studying drama at New York University, Mr. Welliver did well to land parts in Oliver Stone’s Jim Morrison biopic The Doors (1991) and Michael Bay’s sci-fi action flick Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014). In between, Titus could be seen on the small screen. The boob tube babe played Dr. Mondzac on NYPD Blue (1995-1998); Officer Jake Lowery on Brooklyn South (1997-1998); Dr. Eric Hackett on That’s Life (2001-2002); Silas Adams on Deadwood (2004-2006); Jimmy O’Phelan on Sons of Anarchy (2009-2010); the Man in Black on Lost (2009-2010); and Glenn Childs on The Good Wife (2009-2011). He also scored recurring roles on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-2016) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2019). But we prefer his titular turn on Bosch (2015-2021).
