Review

German director, screenwriter and producer Maren Ade hit it big with Toni Erdmann (2016). The acclaimed dramedy received the European Parliament LUX Prize and was nominated for Hollywood’s Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. If that’s not impressive enough, the skinternational pic won Best Film, Best Actor (Peter Simonischek) and Best Actress (Sandra Hüller) as well as Best Director and Best Screenwriter for Ade, who based the movie on her father. The plot kicks off when divorced music teacher Winfried Conradi (Simonischek) decides to reconnect with his estranged daughter Ines (Hüller). What makes this tender tale different than most of its kind is that daddy dearest is a practical jokester! Needless to say, he tries to teach his business-consumed daughter to stop and smell the roses. During this mission, we encounter Anca (Ingrid Bisu), Flavia (Victoria Cocias), Grandma Annegret (Ingrid Burkhard), Henneberg (Michael Wittenborn), Iliescu (Vlad Ivanov), and the skin on Gerald (Thomas Loibl). The latter actor shows off his back, ass, and shaft when he shows up naked on a woman’s doorstep. In other words, Herr Loibl puts the dong in ding dong! Not to be outdone, Tim (Trystan Pütter) pulls down his Calvin Klein briefs in another scene at the 01:19:45 mark. He then jerks off between Fräulein Hüller’s legs. The skintastic act showcases his chest, balls and butt — not to mention his long schlong! When it comes to this foreign film’s overexposed cast members, you can ignore the Oscar baiting in favor of some masturbating. Danke sehr!
