Two Night Stand (2014)

The romantic comedy Two Night Stand (2014) follows the aftermath of a supposed no-strings-attached, online hook-up of two twenty-something awkward and unlucky New Yorkers Megan (Analeigh Tipton), a single and unemployed chick and Alec (Miles Teller), a nerdy, semi-attached dude. Megan heads to Alec’s apartment to do the deed, which is great and all, but when the morning hits and Megan makes the walk of shame, she finds that her exit is blocked by a massive amount of snow from an overnight snowstorm. Of course, neither of the two owns a smart phone that has a weather app built into to it, nor do they have access to a shovel, so now she is literally trapped at Alec’s cramped Brooklyn apartment, stuck spending the day together, getting to know each other. Oh, the humanity!

When Megan finds out that Alec kind of has a girlfriend, she leaves in a huff. The snow has been cleared up already? After some shenanigans involving a New Year’s Eve party and an arrest, the one-night stand eventually turns into something more serious. Maybe Miles Teller wearing a one-piece pajama outfit that highlights his bulge will make this movie more watchable?
