There’s nothing vanilla about Vanilla Ice. Born on Halloween under the name of Robert Van Winkle, the talented Texan worked as a street performer, breakdancer, actor, construction contractor, television host, and rapper. Unfortunately, he didn’t add stripper to this list since we’d love to unwrap the rapper’s clothes to get a good look at his great body! Using his brains, Ice wrote and recorded the iconic song “Ice Ice Baby” (1990) which samples “Under Pressure” (1981) by Queen and David Bowie. The mega-hit nabbed a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance and won a People’s Choice Award for Best New Song. Plus, Ice was named both Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop New Artist at the American Music Awards. Yet when the singer moved onto movies, he wasn’t met with the same success. In fact, the romantic comedy Cool as Ice (1991) earned him a Golden Raspberry nomination for Worst New Star. But Ice rebuilt his reputation by hosting the building show The Vanilla Ice Project (2010) on the DIY Network. The reality TV series scored a Best Home Show prize from The Factual Entertainment Awards. Alas, when Ice tried again to act, he was met with another Golden Raspberry nom. This time for Worst Supporting Actor in the comedy That’s My Boy (2012). We’re not sure what voters were watching because Ice won us over with his fab flesh! The R-rated flick features Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, and Vanilla’s tattooed torso. Ice looks so hot, he’ll melt your heart!
