Kids today are probably most likely to recognize veteran character actor and bong-smoker Woody Harrelson from his role as Haymitch Abernathy, the boozy mentor of Jennifer Laurence’s character in the 2012 box office smash The Hunger Games. But the older generation will always see him as Woody, the big dumb bohunk bartender from the 1980s sitcom Cheers.
The son of a convicted hit man who died in prison, Woody Harrelson comes with a dark past, but his sunny disposition, winning smile, and rock-hard body make it easy to forget all that. Woody’s big break came when he joined the cast of Cheers in 1985, and eight seasons later, he was a full-blown star.
In 1993, he played a guy who let his wife (Demi Moore) bang Robert Redford for a million dollars in Indecent Proposal. A million dollars, Robert Redford, AND Woody Harrelson? We call that “indecently lucky!” After the success of that steamy drama, Woody played a murderous psychopath in Oliver Stone's acclaimed 1994 flick Natural Born Killers and in 1996 he got an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of paraplegic Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, in the biopic The People vs. Larry Flynt. Need some company in the wheelchair, Woody? The HBO series True Detective gave us a nice look at Woody clad in a towel as he examines himself in front of the mirror. Wish he wouldn't have kept his dick so private!
He showed a grand old bulge in The Grand (2007) as the character One Eyed Jack Faro. Wish we could have seen his one-eyed jack! He didn't disappointed in films like Kingpin, The Messenger, and Rampart in which he showed his ass in each. Our favorite role of his so far has been in The Cowboy Way (1994) where he went the way of the cowboy by leaving his cowboy hat on during a sex scene that shows a snippet of his penis from behind. He also walked outside naked with just a cowboy hat over his dick. Woody's wood is making us say yeehaw!
