Based on Frank McCourt’s Pulitzer Prize winning memoir of the same name, Angela’s Ashes (1999) chronicles Frank’s (Michael Legge) life after his tightly knit family is forced to move from the U.S. back to Ireland, following the death of his seven-year-old sister. It’s a bittersweet homecoming thanks to Malachy (Robert Carlyle), the McCourt kids’ alcoholic, unemployed father who has to be pulled away from his pints when the family need the money. Despite the best efforts of his well-intentioned mother Angela (Emily Watson), life holds little promise for Frank and his brothers-- Malachy Jr. (Devon Murray) and twins Eugene and Oliver—as they try to stay afloat in Depression-era Ireland. Frank attempts to overcome all the odds and get back to the land of his dreams: America. But between his mom Angela (Emily Watson) having to sleep with a sleazy dude (Alvaro Lucchesi) to keep a roof over their heads, Frank having to quit his job at the coal mine due to recurrent conjunctivitis, and dear old dad abandoning the family after heading off to work in a factory during World War II, things don't look great for our Irish author. For as much as they struggled as parents throughout Angela's Ashes, Malachy and Angela did manage to pop out some sons with great asses! Speaking of dashed dreams, you’ll be daydreaming hard when you get a gander at Michael Legge’s smooth and tight behind as he strips down and warms up next to the fireplace. More of a theatre actor than a movie star, this Irish hunk will have your eyes and hand wandering when you see him stripping down and showing his pasty but tasty buns while he warms himself in front of the fire. Sure, it's a bummer of a flick, but that bum is so good! If you like them thin and wiry with a bit of hunger behind their eyes, Angela's Ashes is worth watching for the butt flashes!
