Any Given Sunday (1999)

Mr. Man would watch Any Given Sunday (1999) any Sunday. Or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. That’s because the sporty movie puts the ball(s) into football! Not to be confused with the Australian TV series Any Given Sunday (2005-2006) or the motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday (1971), this R rated pic was a box office hit! Based on Pat Toomay’s novel “On Any Given Sunday” (1984),  the movie includes a cameo by Toomay as well as other former footballers such as Dick Butkus, Johnny Unitas, Ricky Watters, Terrell Owens, Warren Moon, and Y. A. Tittle. The drama kicks off when legendary quarterback Jack Rooney (Dennis Quaid) is knocked out of a game. This gives an up-and-comer a chance to fulfill his tight-end dreams. As management struggles with the future of the NFL franchise, you’ll be struggling with your tightening jeans, especially when you get a load of John Clark’s massive package 59 minutes into the pic! Since no sports movie is complete without a memorable locker room scene, this flick has the organization’s owner and general manager (Cameron Diaz) checking out every MEMBER on the team. And fortunately for us, there are plenty of topless hunks in the background. Under the direction of Oliver Stone, the all-star flick features Aaron Eckhart, Al Pacino, Ann-Margret, Charlton Heston, Clifton Davis, Elizabeth Berkley, James Woods, Jim Brown, LL Cool J, Matthew Modine, and Jamie Foxx’s naked T&A! As Willie Beamen, his ebony flesh will get your willy beaming. What a way to score!
