Baby Boy (2001)

After making Boyz n the Hood (1991), Poetic Justice (1993) and Shaft (2000), John Singleton whipped out his big … flick Baby Boy (2001), not to be confused with the small screen series Baby Daddy (2012-2017). This R rated dramedy centers around Joseph “Jody” Summers (R&B artist Tyrese Gibson), a 20-year-old bike mechanic who comes to terms with being a man. He certainly has got a lot of practice, having a daughter with Peanut (Tamara LaSeon Bass) and a son with his girlfriend Yvette (Taraji P. Henson) while still living at home with his mom (Adrienne-Joi Johnson), who may be the one woman in the film that he’s not boffing. The story also includes Jody’s buddy Pea (Omar Gooding), Yvette’s ex-boyfriend Rodney (Snoop Dogg), Juanita’s best friend Patrice (Mo’Nique), and Juanita’s ex-con boyfriend Melvin (Ving Rhames). In fact, we can view the latter dude’s tattooed back and raw rump when he cooks breakfast in the buff. Needless to say, the buns on this dish are perfectly toasted. Boner appétit! Equally mouthwatering is a topless Tyrese who touts his abs while donning boxer shorts. If that’s not sexy enough, the ebony eyeful briefly displays his naked T&A during a dream sequence a mere 35 seconds into the movie. Even if you miss this quick flesh flash, 41 minutes later you have a second chance. That’s when Mr. Gibson shows off his muscular chest and bubble butt as he satisfies his lady love in bed. Looks like this coming-of-age pic may make you come!
