Bloodsport (1988)

Skinternational and Hollywood heartbreakers are born via their breakout movies. Think Michael Fassbender in Shame (2011), Chris Hemsworth in Star Trek (2009), Chris Pine in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), Hugh Jackman in Paperback Hero (1999), and Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport (1988). The latter marks the built Belgian’s first leading role. Nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst New Star, Van Damme plays real life martial artist and fight choreographer Frank Dux. According to Dux’s own accounts, the highly-trained Ninjutso master and Captain in the U.S. Army goes AWOL to compete in the Kumite, a no-holds barred martial arts tournament. In the film, sexy journalist Janice Kent (Leah Ayers) hounds Dux (Van Damme) as she tries to get a story about the dangerous competition. Even while being hunted down by two military policemen, Frank is still able to win his matches! When he moves towards the final battle against the topless champion Chong Li (Bolo Yeung), everyone convenes in Hong Kong. As Dux pushes his body to the edge to destroy his competition, the “Muscles from Brussels” displays his sculpted physique. In fact, you can see his abs in several scenes. Yet it’s after a night of sex with Janice when we are treated to a view of nude Jean-Claude. Just fast-forward to the 50-minute mark to ogle the stud’s muscular back and bulging skivvies. “I see London, I see France, I see the Belgian in his underpants.” Better yet, Mr. Man sees Mr. Van Damm’s ass. Damn!
