Bloody Mama (1970)

Roger Corman’s sleazy Bloody Mama (1970) stars Shelley Winters as Ma Barker, the ruthless leader who makes crime a family affair by turning her four sons (Don Stroud, Clint Kimbrough, Robert Walden, and Robert De Niro) into crazy, drug-fueled criminals that create chaos and disorder wherever they go. Throw in ex-con Kevin Dirkman (Bruce Dern) into the evil equation, along with Ma’s incestuous behaviors, and the goonish gang explodes and goes on an evil escapade of murder, bank robbery and kidnapping. Ma and her boys are eventually brought down by the FBI, who put a bullet-riddled end to their repugnant exploits. Besides a shirtless, glue-sniffin’ De Niro, there’s not much flesh in this film.
