If you want to ogle sexy gay men, check out 120 BPM (2017), also known as BPM (Beats per Minute) and 120 battements par minute. The French flick takes a close look at the ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) activist group in Paris during the 1990s. Back then, these folks fought against the government and medical industry in order to seek justice for those suffering from AIDS. For audiences more interested in seeing nude dudes than getting into political advocacy, the movie throws us a bone when we encounter Nathan (played by French actor Arnaud Valois) and Sean Dalmazo (played by Argentine actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart). Thanks to the direction of Robin Campillo, we get to see these skinternational studs doff their duds on camera. Just one minute into the flick, Monsieur Valois and Señor Biscayart start making out in bed. Ooh la la! Then you hear a condom rip open and the topless hotties steam up the screen as they flash their asses in a lengthy gay sex scene. Merci beaucoup! No wonder the drama won the Audience Award at the Cabourg Film Festival and the Gold Q-Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival. If that’s not impressive enough, 120 BPM received César Awards for Best Film, Best Original Screenplay/Best Editing (Robin Campillo), Best Original Music (Arnaud Rebotini), Best Supporting Actor (Antoine Reinartz) and Most Promising Actor (Biscayart). The movie also swept at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prix. It has our grand pricks too!
