Brüno (2009)

Da Ali G Show mastermind Sacha Baron Cohen had already made movies out of his two biggest characters from the show: Ali G and Borat, so it was only logical that he'd complete the trilogy by putting his flamboyant Austrian fashion correspondent alter ego Bruno on the big screen. In 2009, he did just that with the semi-scripted comedy film Brüno (2009). Much like Borat! (2006), the film follows a general fiction plot about a foreigner coming to America but mixes in actual pranks. Basically, Bruno Gehard (Sacha Baron Cohen) is a gay, Austrian fashion journalist who comes to the USA to make it in Hollywood. After attempting to seduce 2008 presidential candidate/Libertarian icon Ron Paul in a hotel room by stripping down to his Speedos and doing some Euro dancing, making a penis heavy television pilot, adopting an African baby he names O.J., doing battle with The Westboro Baptists, and going on a hunting trip with a bunch of macho men who do not appreciate Bruno's lifestyle, the flamboyant fashion maven eventually tries his hand at being straight. On top of doing manly stuff like trying to learn karate, Bruno attends a swinger’s party, where he’s flogged by dominatrix Michelle McLaren, wearing only a skimpy pair of striped bikini briefs that showcase his slender physique. Thanks to a body double we get ample full frontal as a focus group see that his TV show features a giant cock closeup as part of the credits, and thanks to Sacha's petite Asian co-star Clifford Bañagale's revealing skin-tight suit we get a peek at ass crack! But the wildest scene is when Bruno decides to host a cagefight in the deep South featuring himself as the main fighter but finds his opponent Gustaf Hammarsten so sexy that the fighting turns to fornicating, much to the crowd's dismay. Those two are bulging out of some whitey tighties as they make out, while the crowd throws boos and throws stuff into the cage. We don't talk about the things we did while watching Brüno!
