Any day of the year is a good time to watch the PG-13 movie Calendar Girl (1993), not to be confused with the documentary Calendar Girl (2020) or the Neil Sedaka hit song “Calendar Girl” from 1959. Set in 1962, this flick follows the exploits of three naïve young men as they head west in search of a date with Marilyn Monroe (Stephanie Anderson). Granted, the dramedy takes place in a pre-Internet world when celebrity stalking wasn’t a great social concern. Jason Priestley stars as Roy Darpinian, a high school senior weeks away from Army boot camp. His best buds are Ned Bleuer (Gabriel Olds), who recently discovered he’s going to be a father, and Scott Foreman (Jerry O’Connell), a virgin ready to explode. Together, the horny hunks borrow some cash as well as a car so they can travel to Hollywood. Roy is ready to risk life and limb to cross paths with the blonde pinup. And, as you can guess, the goofy guys seem to find trouble at every turn on their journey to the Golden State. The movie includes Christine Taylor, Chubby Checker, Kurt Fuller, Maxwell Caulfield, Steve Railsback, and the naked chest on Mr. O’Connell. In the movie’s most memorable scene, we get a glorious view of the nude T&A belonging to Mr. Priestley and Mr. Olds. If that’s not hot enough, you can see Jason’s junk from behind with the help of pause and freeze-frame. By the looks of his bod, he could be a calendar boy!
