As a closeted middle class teenager, Steven Carter (Ben Silverstone) has kept his sexuality a secret until one day while cruising the public toilets, he finds school jock John Dixon (Brad Gorton) looking to pick up his own temporary thrill. The two form a secret love affair, but societal pressures, and teenage politics loom over their relationship and threaten its livelihood.  Based on the play What’s Wrong With Angry? by Patrick Wilde, Get Real (1998) is a sensitive coming of age story full of heart, homoerotic lust and skin!
