Hyde's Secret Nightmare (2011)

Through the years there have been various cinematic twists on the Robert Louis Stevenson classic “Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” (1886). These include Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde (1971), Dr. Black, Mr. Hyde (1976), Dr. Heckyl and Mr. Hype (1980), and Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde (1995). Yet no screen adaptation is as salaciously outrageous as Hyde’s Secret Nightmare (2011). Dominiziano Cristopharo’s erotic take blends bloody horror with un-simulated sex performed by porn stars. Yes, you read that right! The story centers around Henry Chagall (Claudio Zanelli), a mad scientist who is mad that he’s impotent. To remedy the problem, he and his assistant Hans (Giovanni la Gorga) experiment on a bunch of corpses. In other words, they want to see if these stiffs can make Hank stiff! Eventually, they succeed in reanimating a dead man’s peen. Maybe the movie should have been called Frankenschlong! Throughout the chiller diller, we encounter a host of characters including Fantasma (Nancy de Lucia), the Devil (Angelo Campus) and a priest (Yuri Antonosante) who goes full frontal while Eva Hyde (Roberta Gemma) rides him in bed. If that’s not kinky enough, Cristopharo exposes his shaft while it gets pierced! As you can guess, this scene is not for the faint of heart. Plus, a policeman (Giovanni Andriulio) sports a real erection as he jerks off in a car, busting a nut all over the steering wheel. Such stuff may be Hyde’s secret nightmare, but for us, it’s more like a dream come true!
