Yes, yes, yes—we were all a little bit in love with the sensitive and soft-spoken cutie Artie Abrams in Glee, wheelchair, glasses, and pretty singing voice included. All hail Kevin McHale for giving us true glee during his reign on the hit FOX TV show from 2009-2015. But who we really owe thanks to is Ryan Murphy, for not only guiding Kevin on Glee, but giving Kev a chance to show almost all of his naked self while in a hot tub during the 2021 episode of American Horror Stories titled “The Naughty List.” (It’s fleeting, but Mr. Man does a screen shot that gives you a longer look. You’re very welcome!) Before that, you’ll be able to see a shirtless, Texas native, albeit with sores, as Bobbi Campbell in the mini-series When We Rise (2017). Before all this, when Kevin was just a wee 17-year-old, he could be seen in his first on-screen gig playing Mark in a 2005 episode of All That (birthplace of Amanda Bynes), followed by one as a delivery kid in a 2007 episode of The Office(birthplace of Jim and Pam). And, of course, who could forget his epic adventure as Everett McDonald in Katy Perry’s video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” in 2011, or his role as Wooly in the movie Boychoir (2014) with Dustin Hoffman, Kathy Bates, and Eddie Izzard. Kevin is also a fan of Ariana Grande, and used her song “No Tears Left to Cry” to officially announce his gaydom on Twitter. “#NoTearsLeftToCry is gayer than me and I ACCEPT Ty @ArianaGrande.” Cutie!
