La Otra Familia (2011)

The drama La Otra Familia (2011) follows Hendrix (Bruno Loza), the seven-year-old son of Nina (Nailea Norvind), a distant, crack addicted dame that gives the neglected kid to her friends, Jean Paul and Chema (Jorge Salinas and Luis Roberto Guzmán), a well-off gay couple, when she heads off to rehab. At first Chema isn’t too keen on being a father; however, he soon warms up and accepts Hendrix as his own. Enter Patrick (Andrés Almeida), Nina’s boyfriend and dealer. With a debt to a locale drug lord hanging over his head, Patrick has a money making idea to sell Hendrix to a young couple that recently lost their child. When the transaction takes place, everything quickly goes south, inexplicably leading to the arrest of Jean Paul and Chema for kidnapping and sexual assault, and Nina fatal falls prey to her addiction. Thankfully, Luis Roberto Guzmán and Juan Rios add a silver lining to the somber flick by showing their backsides. Andrés Almeida amps up the film by teasing a look at his rump and rod during a steamy sex scene. Come for the depressing plot, stay for the amazing nudity!
