Life Like (2019)

Never hire a hot maid, a sexy nanny, a good-looking gardener, or any other kind of attractive help around the house. It's a pretty simple life rule that way too many people break, including the couple in the low budget sci-fi flick Life Like (2019). The movie follows James (Drew Van Acker) and Sophie (Addison Timlin) a couple that become super rich when James' dad dies and leaves him his fortune. That puts James in charge of his pop's business, and Sophie in charge of their new, enormous estate. The problem is, Sophie can't stand the idea of having a bunch of live-in servants, so she pays them to go away. But since she struggles to take care of the house all by herself, something has to be done. Luckily, all that wealth affords the couple a unique solution to their problem: Sophie agrees to try a brand-new experiment in which they get a realistic, human looking robot to help with extra needs around the house. For whatever reason, they pick the sexiest robo-man you could imagine, Henry (Steven Strait). Soon enough his love of literature has Sophie swooning, while his athleticism and racquetball playing skills have James asking if it's still gay if it's with a robot. Will their marriage crumble as both can't stop lusting after the nuts of the man made of nuts and bolts? Best known for his work on Pretty Little Liars, the blond and buff Drew Van Acker plays one-half of the couple who don't mind helping themselves to a romp with the help. We get to admire his buns a few times, including when he takes a shower and when he lets an equally nude Steven Strait shave him. Totally normal thing for two straight guys to do. Yes, the couple's robot is played by Steven Strait who is straight up sexy! Steven definitely isn't Strait when he kisses James and more in the bathroom, but we really loved seeing his robo rump while he goes for a naked stroll in the woods. A hot wife and a hot bot of a boy-toy? Mr. Man wants a life like the dude in Life Like!
