The father of What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993) novelist and screenwriter Peter Hedges, the Brooklyn born Lucas Hedges is one scrumptious dish. This super sexy serious actor got his start as an extra in one of the flicks his dad wrote and directed: Dan in Real Life (2007), but Lucas' first real Hollywood role came when he played Redford, the dirt bike riding lead Khaki Scout in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom (2012). The ultimate quirky auteur must have liked his performance because Wes stuck with Lucas and cast him as a pump attendant in The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). In 2015, Lucas had a brief turn on the small screen as Ritchie in The Slap, which was supposed to be a huge hit considering it was based on a successful Australian show and had legends like Peter Sarsgaard, Thandie Newton, Brian Cox and Uma Thurman on board. That one didn't slap, though, and was quickly cancelled. But while that must have been a bummer, Lucas quickly recovered. His career really skyrocketed just a year later with his work alongside Casey Affleck in Manchester by the Sea (2016). Lucas had us wicked haaad as Patrick, the Massachusetts high schooler whose dad just died and is now being raised by his uncle. In real life, Lucas's dad had been nominated for the "Best Adapted Screenplay" Oscar in 2002 for About a Boy (2002), but his little boy scored a "Best Supporting Actor" nomination for his work in that one. So far no Hedges wins, but no hedging, we'd bet one is coming soon enough! Now a well known dramatic actor, Lucas starred and we stared, in the gay conversion therapy flick Boy Erased (2018). Lucas plays the gay son of a pastor who sends him to a camp meant to cure him of homosexuality. While there, has sex with men and gets shirtless to wade in a pool. Conversion camps are horrific, so we're happy to hear while there you can get some good dick! A critical darling, Lucas was Robbie in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and Danny O'Neill in Ladybird (2017), then starred as Otis in Honey Boy (2019). In that Shia LaBeouf sort of biopic, we get to see Lucas holding his hog while changing his clothes behind a screen. Wish he'd put those hands in the air and show us what he's working with! Our honeypot was more than ready for it! Most recently, we could catch him in the biopic about the first black female Congresswoman, Shirley (2022). Surely, Lucas will give us a full frontal scene someday!
