Pose (2018-2019)

For three seasons from 2018 to 2021, FX's Pose taught viewers all about a subculture it's nearly guaranteed the overwhelming majority of them knew nothing about: the underground ball culture of 1980's New York City. In the underground ball world, largely Black and Latino members of the LGBTQ community compete against each other in competitions like posing, fashion runways and challenges as members of "Houses" led by a "House Mother." Named such because so many of the members were kicked out of their own houses as youths, the show largely revolves around Blanca Rodriguez-Evangelista (Michaela Jae Rodriguez), a former member of House Mother Elektra's (Dominque Jackson) House of Abundance, who decides to start her own House called House of Evangelista and recruits the young gay teen Damon Richards (Ryan Jamaal Swain) to be her number one star. Blanca ends up HIV positive back when it was a death sentence, Trump Tower businessman Stan (Evan Peters) is cheating on his wife Patty (Kate Mara) with House of Evangelista hottie Angel (Indya Moore), and all sorts of other wild stuff is going on in Ryan Murphy's drama which was heavily inspired by the 1990 documentary Paris is Burning. Speaking of burning hotness, as the show's yummy Yuppy, Evan Peters makes our member Pose when we watch him nervously take off his clothes in one scene. He leaves his boxers on, but we can imagine what's under there. He's a fake straight Pose-r but we're okay with it! There are other hunks to enjoy, including Mr. Man hall-of-famer Chris Meloni who strips to his boxers for a sex scene with his trans lover. Dyllon Burnside goes shirtless, flexing and showing off his lean muscles. He shows off his romantic side, too, when he and Ryan Jamaal Swain share sexy kisses before we see Ryan's ass as the two takes things to the bed. Speaking of kisses, get a load of Mike Peele's work as "Hot Chocolate" the absurdly muscular black man lying on his bed, but if you like your men a little bit less macho, take a look at Angel Bismark Curiel's work as "Lil Papi" including when he shows his lil booty while having sex with Indya Moore. Want a more famous fella to gawk at? You can't beat the ball emcee, Billy Porter going balls deep in Norm Lewis. Mr. Man's thing sure rose while he was watching Pose!
